Remember my accident with the skateboard?. Well Thursday I had to drive to work and it was hell without the wing mirror, I couldn't see to merge into right hand lanes... And my driving doesn't require any more handicaps.
So on the way back I stopped at trusty Halfords.
I like Halfords. Full of young men and interesting contraptions that I would have no idea how to use.
The young sales assistant told me that my particular model of mirror was order only. Fecking typical of me to buy a weird car.
So I had to do a temporary job with some glass..... A huge selection and I had to choose which one fitted the hole.
Well, it was a stressful decision but the one I picked seemed to fit ok.
But as a dear friend pointed out, the glass wouldn't simply stick to the wing mirror because the whole thing had sheared off.
So I then went into staples and spent a tenner on various fixing tape, mounting pads, superglue etc etc... None of which worked so now it's got a bit of sellotape wrapped round it.
Least I can see something now though.
Trin'll fix it... not.

Ingenuity is the Key 2 Success!
Halfords! Pa!!! They have a strategy of NEVER EVER having what I want when I actually want it. I bet if I wanted a stupid little dangly air freshener thing or a £39 digital compass or some poxy expensive polish to polish my polish with or one of the many other similarly useless bits of rubbish that comprise 98% of their stock for cars these days they would not have that either!!
PS Yes, I'm a miserable old sod and PROUD of it.
PPS You are very busy on here today trin!
