Teach?

Do teachers do anything anymore?
Danielle is upstairs doing her homework. Being a good mother I enquired what she was studying. Nothing.
She has three books, all work done in class today from three students and she has to mark it. So what does the teacher do?
It annoys me that the teacher doesn't seem to see their work. Danz says they always mark each others work.
I wonder if that happens everywhere>

It most certainly does not. My missus religiously brings boxes of her kid's stuff home to mark and dumps it near the front door where we all fall over it for weeks. From there it migrates to her cupboard or the garage before being binned unmarked 6 months later. SHE is a professional.

This isn't something I've encountered with my boys. Very odd. Josh is the same age as Danz and he's never brought anyone elses work home to mark. The only time they mark each others work is if it's a test in class and the teacher wants them to check their answers against those on the board.

Is Joshy in yr 7?
I actually think it's a bit of a confidentiality thing. I now know that Aiden Pomphrey has dreadful handwriting. Did no work in class today and can't spell.
He also doodles all over the pages, writes two lines then leaves the rest of the page blank.
Worryingly... none of his work has a teachers mark on it. Wonder if the man has even looked at it?
How could he possibly know that Aiden constantly spells certain words wrong.
Danielle gets good marks for her work. Why? Her friend Kirstie marks it for her.
Hmph.

Year 7? I still can't get the hang of that. He's a first year ;) His older brother is a third year and the little Boggart is in his last year at junior school.
Bloody Year 7! I don't know, this government has a lot to answer for. Everyone used to want to be a fifth year because it meant you'd nearly finished... unless you went on to 6th form. Now why do you think it was called 6th form AND STILL IS? Because it comes after the fifth!
Sorry. Touched a raw nerve. This has bugged me for a long time ;)
*hugs*
