Katie's death made the local paper tonight. I'm not sure what I think about it being front page news. I guess it's a desire to protect her parents from seeing it on newstands. It is a story though, when a child dies in the care of someone else. Though, I do believe the Nursery's actions were excellent and their reaction afterwards caring and respectful. No doubt they are completely devastated.
But a part of me thinks, good. It's in the paper.... She mattered.
She would have started school today, in her new uniform. So proud. Bless her little heart.

Yes, it was on BBC news tonight. My friend and Katie's parents have been hounded by reporters today looking for a story.
I've not the words I want to have right now but I'm saddened and really feel for everyone touched by this. :(
