The resistance they got for just trying to help was unbelievable. If Al Gore hadn't been backing them it wouldn't have happened and no, it wasn't a photo or publicity opportunity. It hasn't been picked up by the nationals, just websites and blogs.
I read a site where the evacuees were saying they were left waiting for over two hours in heat with no water whilst Bush was having a photo shot done outside.
I find it incredulous.
