Restful Day Off?

My Day off. Started off badly with Abby presenting herself to me at 7.30...far too tired to go to school. Ok I'm fine with them doing stuff on school nights. But if it stops them going to school... Well no more stuff on school nights I'm afraid. So consequently she was Miss Miserable and I had an hours worth of arguing between her and her sister before school. Grrrrrrrr
Then Bailey had her 1st Injection at the vets which set me back £31 (who wanted another cat?) She was a little poppet though and didn't even murmour.
I was signed off at Shelter today as well. For those who know me and know my past history, you'll know we were homeless for about 18 months and have been moved from pillar to post. Finally we landed here and hey life is great. Shelter have been my rock during this time. Always there with support and advice. But we don't need them now so my worker came round for a last visit and I gave her some biscuits and a card to say thanks. Quite sad really. We've come so far guys. This time last year we were in a temporary house in an awful part of the city. No carpets or cooker and an old coal fire for warmth. I had to lug coal into the house most days.
(no I'm not gonna start a Monty Python sketch)
Then I finally took the car in to have the tyres done. I'd had some major skids on the roads last week and nearly crashed. So some nice young men put on two new tyres and changed a headlamp bulb and I'm 100% ok again now. Who'd work in a Garage though? It's freezing cold and really dirty. I prefer a man in a suit myself.
Then it was Rainbow Guides. Tonight we did chalk pictures of skyline fireworks and had hotdogs and chocolate crispy cakes. Our little miss Naughty one wasn't there this week, so it was relatively peaceful for once! We're starting a petition to have all the girls picked up by their fathers. Much more appeasing eye candy for me and Marie.
It's so dark outside with the clocks going forward. The fireworks around here have happened every bloody night...How do they afford them? I love Tuesdays though. Ace night on TV. Well apart from Holby City...Doctors and Nurses series a la terrible. But you never know. I may learn something useful :P
Love you all xxx

I hadn't know you had been through so much. I'm so glad you were able to get through to better times!

I guess I should be more thankful for what I have.
