Back to work after being poorly! Work was great. Busy but lots of sorting out to do which I'm good at. The Bristol traffic was appalling again today. My journey to work took 80 minutes as opposed to a normal 10-15 minutes with no traffic. I tell you, this stresses me more than ANYTHING!
Plus I'm suffering teenage overload. You know like Clarrie had too much sugar, I've had too much teen quality time. I love them to bits, but sometimes I'd like to do what I want to do. I want to be the boss.
She had the day off school today. Bloody teachers (you listening KB?) inservice days should be banned. I left for work and gave her a list of stuff to do for me. Come on.... Well maybe list isn't the right word. Wash the dishes, Dry the washing via tumble drier. Take out and fold. Take down Halloween lights from stairs.
This was waaaay too much to do for a 14 year old.
I came home from work and took down all the decorations. Made me feel like I'd purged the place. The cobweb ceiling complete with hundreds of spiders was beginning to freak me out.
Next step Christmas decorations, I was told. No bloody way. Not for AGES yet. Santa has 54 more days.
I asked her to take the decorations upstairs to my room. And I asked, and I asked again. Now you think she'd be waaay grateful that tonight I'd paid for her and Danika to see the Rasmus at the Academy. That I was taking them and collecting them at 11pm? But I guess that's expected of me?
Am I being a grumpy old cow? Maybe.
Saving grace tonight though, as I collected them I got stopped by a really cute police officer. He signaled me to stop, them come on then stop. Then he laughed and came over. I wound down the window. Sorry he said, not with it tonight. I should have done something to get arrested. He was cuteness himself. Sigh!
Anyways to continue the teen drama. She's now saying she may be too tired for school tomorrow? Hmph pigs might fly. She's going. No arguments.
I have a day off and I need quality Trinity time.
