Sad for the Pope

Stricken Pope develops high fever

I know I'm given to moments of sarcasm and taking the piss out of things but I actually feel really sorry for the Pope. It's no secret that I most certainly don't believe in God, but respect the views of others who do and would never try to change someone's beliefs. During my soul destroying depression and looking for a way out , I turned to the Church for some kind of relief. I liked the good friendship of some of the other worshippers but found the whole ceremony and politics stupid.
The Pope is really sick today. Roman Catholics around the globe are praying for him, crying and grieving as a good man passes.
But a quiet passing isn't coming for this man. He's suffering. To him death probably can't come soon enough. Poor man. And again my re-affirmation that God is a fantasy. How could a God allow a man who has lived his entire life doing good. He gave up the chance of love and family, a 'normal' life and dedicated himself to God. And this is his just reward?
May he pass in peace quickly.
