sick teens

Abby has finally swung a day off. She came into me with a sore throat and husky voice today and says she doesn't feel right. Now I'm working a 12 hour shift so I can't assess her so hey presto...she's off. But in the back of my mind I know one of her bestest mates has Glandular Fever. Very infectious in this age range. She has been extremely tired this week. Hmm I always wondered what the Americans refered to as Mono. Now I know.
Maybe I should take her to the doctors. She has had headaches this week as well, I gave her tablets once. She was also tearful when she got home from school last night. Damn I hate leaving them home when they're poorly.
