Today

Well today was spent being mother of the weekend and I cooked, Ironed and had friends around. Listened to Good Charlotte on a loop. To their credit Danz and Hollie were fantastic. Washing up, vacuuming and polishing without being asked. The vacuuming however was due to the fact they tried to make real porridge with real oats and tipped them over the carpet. Bless! hmph.
I finally worked out how to sell stuff on eBay. I put 7 things up for sale today. No-one has bid yet. Check out this little sweet thing for sale. Hmmm I know it's not Christmas anymore. You reckon that might put people off?
I'm having a battle with Abby. She's been invited to a Talented and Gifted two days at The University of the West Of England. Known around these parts as UWE. 10-4 Friday and Saturday. Working with students, learning about Art, appreciation of art and doing course work that will be added to her GCSE and considerably improve her grade. Lunch and transport are provided.
Thing is...Friday is a school Inservice day and Saturday is well....Saturday.
So she doesn't want to do it. I think it's a great opportunity and think she SHOULD do it! After all , life is about putting yourself out to go get what you want. The girl who sits on the sofa watching TV won't get the good career.
Motherhood is not easy.
