yay we have food

My off duty was changed this week and I had to work today instead of tomorrow. This morning I was all bleary eyed and yeuk. Didn't want to go in, but yay now it's over and I got a whole day off tomorrow to look forward to.
Today I got some money through. TBH when I looked at my finances, it just about covered the overdraft's but needs must and I set out to do some essential food shopping after work.
I only wanted to spend about £25 but I really hadn't realised how short we were of stuff this month and ended up spending over forty quid. I chose the local smelly shops to buy things as they don't have frills, temptations to overspend and blow the budget. Iceland had a sale on. Can you believe a food shop has a massive sale on food? The first 5 freezers were full of stuff like party food, crab sticks and melon balls for a quid. Crap tbh but it had drawn out all the Mullins from the surrounding area. People shuffling around and rummaging through the freezers like a bring and buy sale. One woman with long greasy hair and half her teeth missing was moaning that she thought it was still 'bleedin' dear' (expensive)
She held us all up at the checkout by paying in ten pence pieces. I felt sorry for her, knowing how it feels to have no cash. But then thought, how can they live their entire lives on the social?
Next door are both on social security. They get a taxi to Asda every week and come back laden with stuff. They also both smoke and drink and I wonder how they do it?
Least I do work to feed my girls.
So now I'm making Tacos for tea. The mix was on sale at £1.50 and I already had beef. My membership pack to the home bakery club came. No badge I'm afraid. But a voucher for 30p off bread mix.
Great.

*Edit, the Tacos were not appreciated by said girls. Abby ate one and left the table. Back to frozen pizza tomorrow me thinks.
