The kids are home from school. Danz cried because her new teacher said if they were naughty they'd have to stay behind for up to an hour. I phoned the school to clarify this situation (I find it hard to cope with this time thing what with working) apparently it was for the benefit of the disobedient ones not good girls like Danz (yeah right she can talk for England)
Abby is miserable. Her Maths class was awful. Someone threw her pen out of the window. Her friend is apparently going into 'foster care' soon. Hmmmm.
I made dinner that Danz moaned about. Italian chicken (chicken with dolmio sauce..We don't have much money) mashed potato and peas. I liked it.
Then I took Danz to go visit my sister's cat Ronnie and see how he was.
Well if you've ever been vet sick visiting and are a per lover.. It's so sad. All those little kittys in cages crying and growling in pain.
Ronnie had a drip in his leg. He's a big huge boy. He was led still with his head propped up on a pillow. The nurse said he's ok as long as he can see what's going on.
He was laid perfectly still. I saw his xrays. His pelvis is broke in many parts. One side has completely detached from the spinal column. That's ok. It needs a pin to fix it.
The other side however is broken in about 4 parts and jagged bits of bone are sticking out. That side needs a completely new plate. The reconstructive surgery is highly specialised and there's only one or two vets in the area experienced enough to do it. So he'll need to be transferred.
We stayed there for about 20 minutes, talking to him and petting him, scratching him behind his ears and neck. His mouth was really dry but he wouldn't drink so I dipped my fingers in the water and her licked the drops off them...Bless. Made me want to cry.
Then we had to move because the poor kitty in the cage below was having a death moment and the vet had to see to him quickly. When I looked again Ronnie had gone to sleep, so we left him.
The vet seemed positive though and didn't say he might die... However the nurse previously had told me it was still 50/50. The nurse had also told my sister they might have to amputate his leg but the vet said there was never any question of that.
So now we're home and Abby has washed up. Praise the saints!!
