American Election views

I found an election thread on Fark. I had to laugh at some of the views of the guys there. Our election process is so different. They ranged from the outright...'Brits are dumb America rules'...to 'wish we had a similar system'.

"They have elections over there? I thought they had a queen. Huh...

"In the UK the PM faces the press every week, where they ask real questions (unlike US press conferences), faces parliament every week (taking questions from all sides) and sometimes goes on shows like question time to face the public.
Who challenges the US president? Nobody".

So, if a new guy wins does that mean you have to print up all new money with their picture on it?"

"There really aren't any culture wars in England because everyone acts gay"

"I watched the BBC show the other night where the leaders of the 3 major parties, Tony Blair included, got absolutely ripped by the audience...it was probably something akin to what the founders of the US had in mind. They may have a queen, but we treat our President much more like royalty than they do the PM"
