get the story?

BRISTOL CAMPAIGN 2005
On the way to work today I noticed the stupid posters of Eastenders Characters with comments like "Will Chloe always come between Martin and Sonia?" had changed. They finally transformed into the REAL message behind those innocent little pictures. Yes it was God's word.
A campaign run by the bible society to " challenge people in Bristol to think about the Bible more positively"
Ok let me get this straight. The Eastenders posters are meant to make me think about the Bible?
A similar campaign was held in 2003 in Nottingham (Nottingham and Bristol are obv. sin cities)
Bible Society's Steve Bassett said, "The Bible has become so misunderstood and ignored that our vision to make it heard is a challenge of breathtaking proportions. The posters and ads initially did not mention the Church, Christianity, the Bible or Bible Society because today most people do not want to be preached at or to be told what to do and how to do it - they want to explore things for themselves. So, we hoped that by using a national soap opera storyline we would be able to have a genuine conversation with the culture around us and get people thinking about the Bible and its relevance for today."

Ummm Just one problem with that dear Steve. The Bible is a classic well read book that has been passed down through the ages.
Eastenders is a load of total crap.
