It looks Good Abby.

So as for St Lucia. She's staying with a family with a daughter named Christa. She's 15 and lives in Micoud. She has two brother and said she's looking forward to having a 'sister' for a week.
She sounds nice and I have a phone number to use... Good.
The other kids are round and about her. One girl is staying with a child who describes herself as having 'Hypnotic Eyes'. That made me smile and I have this picture of the 'Little Britain' Hypnotist in my head.
The itinery looks good. They're flying BA into St Lucia with a stop for refueling but they can't leave the plane.
Sunday ... Meet at 3 am to catch the flight link.
Monday... They stay at the St Lucian school, then meet the families.
Tuesday.... a tour of the west coast, climbing Gros Piton (hill walking ... eeek) and a visit to sulphur Springs volcano.
Wednesday.... School AM, then the afternoon at the beach and a BBQ
Thursday..... Tour of Ballenbouche Slave plantation and botanical gardens, and in the afternoon a visit to an animation centre (castries) and a boat trip round the island.
Friday..... School AM, then an Anse La Raye Fish Night (interesting... She hates fish)
Saturday ... Visit the North of the Island... Rodney Bay and lots of shopping.
Sunday.... Home. Returning to Bristol about midday Monday.

Looks good. I'm sure she won't have a second to miss home. Best thing I ever did at school was a quick trip to Munich on a coach!

These things are always good to look back on. I hitchhiked round Denmark when I was 16, I went with a friend but it was so hard to get lifts we decided to split up so much of it was alone. I was so nervous (and the trip in steerage did not help) I must have vomited every 5 miles between Kronberg and Copenhagen. Made a fortune selling porn to my schoolmates when I got back. I hid it in the lining of my rucksack. if you looked hard you could see real pubic hair!!

The best we ever got at school was a trip to Cologne.
