Abby's been asking me to help with her homework. Ok ask me spellings, or history (sort of) or medicine but science? 'Mum is wood a good or bad conductor of heat?' She questioned. I thought...hmmm wood burns easily. 'Good' I assured. Then went on to say why I thought it was with confidence. 'Well why do they have wooden saucepan handles?' she went on. 'Yes so silly, I guess they coat it with a special substance' Getting myself in deeper.
'Well I'm sure you're wrong' She said. And yes I was (why ask me then!!!) I asked a friend today (my oracle) and he confirmed Abby was right and she danced all round the room in delight at my failing :-(
Now she tells me she has to write down everything she eats for a week, why she ate it and what it does for her.
Feck...I'm going to have to cook vegetables and stuff. Tonight was McDonald's. 'What am I going to put for why I ate that?' She said. Because your mother couldn't be bothered to cook.
Its going to be a hard week!
