Wedding Crashers

In a fit of boredom and before the BB eviction show we went to see Wedding Crashers. I got Danz in with no difficulty.... She's only 11 and the film is a 15. BadMommy.
I wanted light relief. 90 minutes of laughter and mirth. A film you didn't have to think much about, something a bit silly like dodgeball.
Hmph. The film started rather slowly. The idea of wedding Crashing wasn't sold to me as something all that fun, but the guys John and Jeremy (Vaughn and Wilson) did it rather well, but without any humour. I didn't laugh once. After about 3/4 hour I contemplated leaving the cinema. There was nudity and a lot of sex.I hadn't expected it... But silly me it was a 15. Danz wasn't fussed at all. Once you watch a whole week of child birth on Discovery Health, you are aware of naked women.
Then came the ultimate wedding they crashed (daughter of a US senator) and they both fell for the 2 sister bridesmaids.
The laughter came from the dysfunctional sister's family. The odd gay introvert brother, the sex mad mother (Jayne Seymour naked!)' The foul mouthed old grannie.
A few very funny moments but really nothing to rave about. I laughed loudly at something no one else in the audience did... Maybe my sense of humour is fucked?
The film finished in a big fluffy snowball of girlie feel good movie. Yes, it ended happily. Yes I did smile. Yes the girls said they loved the film. Ahhhh happy endings.
But that's not what I wanted.
That's not how the film was sold to me.
It was meant to be laugh a minute.
It wasn't.
Owen Wilson is so damn hot though.
