Dublin and back in a day

The Pink Tram outside our rather historic hotel called Wynns

In Dublin's fair city, where the girls are so pretty
I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone
As she wheeled her wheelbarrow through streets broad and narrow
Crying cockles and mussels alive a - live O!

A - live a - live O! A - live a - live O!
Crying cockles and mussels alive a - live O!

She was a fishmonger and sure it was no wonder
For so were her father and mother before
And they both wheeled their barrows through streets broad and narrow
Crying cockles and mussels alive a - live O!

A - live a - live O! A - live a - live O!
Crying cockles and mussels alive a - live O!

She died of a fever and no one could save her
And that was the end of sweet Molly Malone
Now her ghost wheels her barrow through streets broad and narrow
Crying cockles and mussels alive a - live O!

Trinity College.... yes that's right. A whole college dedicated to Trinity.

The Bridge of Ha'pennys in Dublin. We walked across. My Mum loved the book Angela's Ashes and always wanted to see the River Liffey. She was born on St Paddy's day and apparently we have some Irish heritage. My great great Grandmother was Irish and came to England to Honiton in Devon to learn Lace Making. Met my Great Great Grandad who was recouperating in Honiton after the traumas of one of the great wars. Got married and never saw her family or Ireland again. I think that's quite sad.
