it couldn't happen to Victor Meldrum

Man's vigil at wrong hospital bed

"The man himself identified the wrong patient as his mother. When the man's daughter arrived, she recognised that the woman was not her grandmother and the ward team was alerted."

Like the scene from a comedy programme. How the hell could a man wrongly identify his own mother?
You'd think sitting by her for a while he would have noticed that the woman who gave birth to him wasn't the woman laid there?
Men.

One ugly old hag looks much like another. Same with small boys. I often used to get home from the shopping centre with what I thought were my two only to be greeted with the wife by "Who are these kids? what have you done with Rob and Tim?"

I can't believe the man actually had the audacity to blame the hospital. If the fuckwit can't identify his own mother and needs a grandchild to do so, he should be trying to keep it quiet!!!
