Just lately our house has been taken over by the new Bratz Doll. Bratz dolls are funky and cool. They have shoes that come off...Like false legs and are put back on easily. Cool shoes. Big clunky platforms and heels. Bratz have boyfriends called Eitan and Cameron. Cool guys with cool clothes and attitude. You could see one of those dolls getting pissed up and falling over...Or riding a super cool bike or getting some punk doll pregnant. Could you ever say that about Barbies 'BF' Ken?
This Christmas saw Ken in Prince Mode once again with lacy shirt and plastic smile. Not the kind of guy a cool girl would want at all.So I predict the end of Barbies ride on top of the doll world. Even her 'My Scene'
dolls cannot compete with the fashion, and street cred of the Bratz doll. My favourite is the Tokyo a Gogo versions. Which reminds me more than a little of Britneys school girl 'Hit Me Baby' and of course my heroine Go Go from KillBill fame.The new ones out are Pretty'n'Punk meant to be fashion from the London Underground scene. All dolls come with two outfits one heavy punk and one less extrovert wear! Pretty cool really. If you're into dolls that is!
