Poor Dog

Made in the USA? Where else would a doggie wear a coat with Pet cemetery on the back? Posted by Hello

I should take advice

Collette said don't do it. Steve said don't do it. But as I stood in her bedroom and stared at the mess on the floors tops and bed, I was worried we'd get rats next. The bits of food, dirty clothes and empty bottles on the floor.
Abby's bedroom or the pit as it's (lovingly) known.
I took some stuff out of the large Christmas sack blocking the door. Its was a tee-shirt from a loving member of the family. I remembered an argument we had yesterday when she 'didn't have anything to wear'.
So I cleaned it out. I filled one and a half black bags full of rubbish.
When she came home, she went upstairs. 'Where's my stuff'?, she griped. I told her I'd cleaned it up and if I ever found it so awful again she'd go live with her father.
Wrong thing to say. She went loopy. Asked for a suitcase. 'Fine, I'll go' She sobbed.
I explained that she'd been really hard work for a number of weeks now and frankly didn't help at all. 'I washed up' she said indignantly. Yes I told her, about three weeks ago!
I asked her to offer to do stuff more. 'You think I'm a mug?' she retorted.
I told her to be more like her sister when it came to helping. 'Well get another Danielle' She bitched 'Clone her'.
Then she crumpled a bit and said she didn't want to upset me. She'd try more and vacuum her bedroom after she did her homework.
I bet she thinks her life sucks.
Away from teenage traumas I went to the gym today. Only managed 10 lengths but it was ok. Spoke to a few people. There's a girl who works there called Kerry whose so friendly and lovely. She cheered me up saying the summer's coming and all the male workers have to wear shorts. Roll on the sun I say!

Radio One

You know how much I detest Chris Moyles. Abby insists on Having radio One on the way to school. His voice grates on me and I cringe the whole time. He's a hateful sexist man. Humourless and obnoxious. Today they had Lemar showing up at some 17 year old girls school. She was over whelmed and gushing about it all. Lemar is apparently spending the day there at some school in Christchurch Dorset.
Yawn
It's all been done before and Lemar is hardly A list celeb FFS.
But the thing that got me was he asked the on the spot reporter what the 17 year old was like. 'She sounds nice' He said. 'Is she attractive?' There was a pause and a cough then nothing. Obviously the girl wasn't in the category of Hollyoaks Babes. Sexist pig. Chris Moyles is in the same league as the blatanly sexist John McCririck. Both of those men are on my men I'd most like to Bobbet category.
(I'm nice really)

Start Again

This term I'm having no shit from Abby about not wanting to go to school. My leniency and confusion has led to this situation where she thinks she can just not go at any whim.
Last night she wanted a note to skip Gym. Why? I think she should do gym. It's part of school. She couldn't find her track bottoms. I found her shorts. But no, she couldn't do gym with shorts. A boy might look at her legs. FFS . So I said "ok but this summer on the beach you won't wear a costume incase some male species looks at you?" She muttered something incoherent.
The shorts are football ones, so they aren't short as such. I was getting pissed with her. I wasn't happy about lying about some made up disease on a school note.
Usually she gets so sulky and difficult I end up giving in, just to keep the peace. Today though I wasn't having it. It led to a bit of a fraught morning. Anyways right at the last moment, of looking for any kind of joggers to wear I pulled them out of a cupboard. Was she pleased? Nah, she actually didn't want to do PE.
You know what? I have to go through this all over again with Danz. Wonder if she'll be any different. Probably not.

Savings

Umm Both my girls have got some money...actually Danz has quite a little sum and they want to open bank accounts. I have no idea what kind of account to open or if any bank will have them?
Any ideas out there?

Sunday

Well that's the birthday weekend over and done with. Today I had most of the family round for tea. It was ok. I spent ages (well an hour or so)getting food ready and stuff and hardly anything was eaten but hey...I'd rather have too much than not enough. I felt a bit guilty. I slept until 2pm.... I woke up and saw the clock and freaked. Damn I must have needed sleep. All day I've been a bit hazy. I didn't get the kids any dinner. Nor our little guest. I offered them all some soup at 2pm but they all refused. A bit of a failure yet again.
Tomorrow I'm going to make Chicken stew to make up for it. They ate well at tea-time but I hope Collette's little girl was ok.
My sister was asking me about being bi-polar. I felt happy. I was pleased they were trying to understand and talk about it.
Her step daughter and son are just adorable. The little boy gave me a huge hug and kiss when he left. I think we made firm friends there on holiday.
Bit worried about Bailey. She's been awful quiet this afternoon and feels hot. Maybe she doesn't like her new collar? I dunno, hope she's not getting poorly again.

WD40

BBC NEWs Toilet sprayed to stop drug users:

"A Swindon bar owner is spraying WD40 on toilets seats to stop customers from using them to snort cocaine"

Oh Heck. If I went to a public loo and got WD40 on my derriere when I had a pee I'd be bloody fuming. Tsk whatever next?

Saturday

Not feeling so great today. Dunno why really but I think this week I've HAD to do stuff every day. That's stopped me from thinking or being down. But it's all been a strain and today I'm tired.
It's as if my mind gets tired from concentrating so hard at being normal. Sound crazy? Well hey, that's what living as Trin is all about.
I'm reading The Illustrated Mum. I saw the TV series of it last week and it made for uncomfortable viewing. The mum, Marigold, is Bi-Polar and needs help. But her kids love her to bits and don't want to ask for help in case she's put in hospital and them taken away. But their lives are very difficult. She's obsessed with a man called Micky and obsessed with getting tattoos. Both my girls have read it. There's quite a few similarities between our lives and the book, though Marigold is very manic and these days I seem to be mostly depressed.
I'm still quite ashamed and tainted by the fact that I can't cope like everyone else does. I need to take pills and have times when I'm downright irrational. But I've come an awful long way.
Anyways my friend says Normal is dull.

pinata time

The Party Pinata. It was a high heeled black shoe with purple decorations filled with gold and silver chocolate coins and various other chocolates left over from Christmas. The girls were blindfolded and turned around three times then they had to hit the shoe until it broke and the goodies spilled out. Trouble was Bailey kept trying to join in and nearly got hit a few times. Posted by Hello

Faith

Our local paper had an article in it from a vicar I know well last night. He's a truly lovely man, a good and strong religious man but with an open mind and sense of humour that goes far beyond any other vicar I know.
He was writing about how difficult it it to maintain faith in the face of such vast human tragedy and destruction. But that after the event the enormous pulling together of people from every corner of the world to help the victims rebuild their lives has rebuilt his faith and made it stronger.
Hmm an emotive subject and the answer he gave was the one I expected him to give. Us humans are built with compassion and empathy. Maybe throughout the years of war and tragedy the majority of us have learnt to value life. We don't need a bible to tell us not to murder each other. We are humans.
I spoke to a close friend today. She is confused and depressed about the Tsunami loss. How such a thing could have happened?
We may be humans. The most intelligent species on the Earth (though sometimes that could be challenged) But we aren't immune to the effects of our Earth. How could we be? To consider ourselves so important that nothing can touch us?
I guess we could stay at home. Not venture out to see foreign parts, stay 'safe'. Then be killed by some man made Truck ploughing into our house with a drunk driver at the wheel.
More bad man made things happen that natural world things.
Maybe the thing that we should hold close and remember about such disasters is that life is precious to us. All life. Every single person matters no matter what origin or religion.
Peace and an end to war. Whoever your God is.

The Jesus Diet

Bible Inspires Florida Doctor's 'Jesus Diet':

"'Have them eat according to the Bible, have them exercise temperance, according to what the Bible says then we can turn them around, help them prevent the disease and reverse the curse,' Colbert said.
The diet is similar to Mediterranean cooking.
'We know that Jesus ate a lot of fruit, we know he ate a lot of fish, a lot of whole grains, we know that he liked vegetables he like olive oil,' Colbert said. 'This is pretty much the Mediterranean diet which has been called the healthiest diet in the world, but it's a modification of the Med. Diet because it does certain things, it puts in certain things that the Med diet doesn't.'"

FFS What a lot of crap. They didn't have Chocolate Eclairs or Danish Pastries in Jesus time. Whose to say he wouldn't have chowed down on a massive bar of Cadbury's dairy milk if he'd had the choice.

Attention seeking brat

Bailey. Always in the centre of things. Always trouble. Wants constant attention. Posted by Hello

I'm gonna party like it's your birthday

The sleepover is underway. I have never heard so much giggling in my life. Apparently I upset Grant. He came to Danz party last year. He's the little 10 year old who asked to be dressed as a lady. Stripped off, put on a dress high heels and makeup and strutted his stuff all evening. Trouble was he got bright blue eyeshadow on Danz cream bedroom carpet which never came off.
He was most miffed he wasn't invited. Right. I don't think so.
We had cake and then I took them to the cinema under the control of Abby to see National Treasure. I left the rest of the birthday cake on the table. Funny how the cream in the middle has suddenly gone missing ........BAILEY!!!

Binmen could treat heart patients

BBC NEWS Health Binmen could treat heart patients
They have got to be kidding us? No way even if I was dying would I let those filthy handed binmen lay a hand on me. They'd have to have a full body shower. Besides. My binmen pick and choice which day they decide to turn up.
What sort of person becomes a binman anyways? One that could use a defibrillator?....crikey I have a job with ours at work. Setting the bloody joules etc etc.
One that could pick up if the victim was in
AF?
Oh come on it's not April but this has to be a joke?

(ps what about Christmas time. Those who don't give them their Christmas box could be in for a nasty shock...or not as the case maybe)

Busted Gone

Boy band Busted decide to split

Oh hell. Abby will be destroyed! Is there no Justice in this wicked world. First the Tsunami then this.
What will the ugly one who can't sing do now? Wait that's all of them. Sacre Bleu.
