What bloody day is it?

A quick round up of today....Well it's no bloody wonder I had a job remembering to take my tablets these holidays. I have no idea what day it is. I thought it was the 6th all day. I arrived in work aghast to find the bloody tree still up and immediately set about tearing the baubles off merrily much to everyone's amusement. Debs on one again they all said to each other.
The day was ok. Busy this morning and more relaxed this afternoon. I had a child in with her parents who were adamant that their child hated nurses. Said it over and over. Reinforcing to the kid that she did indeed hate nurses. How could anyone hate me? I was on the floor playing with her within 20 minutes and she was lovely. Another mum said the hospital would be a dull place without happy nurses like me! The rest of the staff looked up in amazement and said, she should try working with me for 12 hours (bastards)
I remembered a funny story about Danielle.
Danz went to hospital once when she was 5. The doctor asked us if she was allergic to anything and she piped up quite grown up. 'Yes I'm allergic to camels'. I sat there with my mouth open. Where the heck did she get that from? Well of course we have lots of camels round at our house.
When I got to work this morning there was Claire back from her Honeymoon in the Maldives.
She gave me a huge hug. She talked about it all morning. She was on a tiny Island and was due to leave that day to fly to Dubai. But as they stood in their tiny hut the wave came in. It was up to her chest and they were both terrified so they got out and ran to the very centre of the island and a three storey building there and flew up the stairs.
Then they were stranded there for four days. She was quite traumatised by it all. She said the weather was freaky after. The Earthquakes size had shifted the weather pattern and they had snow in Dubai when they eventually got there.
Well I'm home now. Abby went to school...though frankly she doesn't see the point at all. She cooked tea for Danz tonight but I don't think it was exactly Jamie Oliver...but Danz ate it.
Oh and I got the day off tomorrow. They made me take a days holiday. Oh well. This house needs some major cleaning after the school holidays.
Loves you all
