French Medicine

When things go wrong in Disney, the staff are all out to help. I mentioned to a guy in reception that I needed a doctor and suddenly I was surrounded by management offering to help.
A doctor was called and I was told within one hour they'd arrive. Impressed! But within 5 minutes the door tapped and there stood a tall hunky uniformed French guy. 'Fireman' he said in a husky deep French accent. Apparently a fireman always precedes an emergency doctor in France. I think they must be a form of paramedic. He didn't speak English but sort of looked at Danz and told me the doctor would visit in an hour. The doctor arrived 5 minutes later though. Lovely guy. Spoke good English, examined her and diagnosed Tonsillitis. He cost me 50 euros. A prescription for a gram of Amoxil twice a day was made out. I know that's a huge dose and not how we do it here. But in France do as the French do. The medicine was 7 euros and Disney charged me 13 euros to collect it from the pharmacy. It arrived as a powder. It was all in French. Lucky I knew what to do though had to estimate the 60 mls of water to add.
Anyways it did the trick and half a day later she was well enough to go to the park in a wheelchair. Just what she needed. Poor kid.

Oh, poor Danz. I hope she recovered enough to enjoy things
