Agony Aunt

In my TV quick every week ITV's Trisha does an advice column, its full of such crap like I fancy my neighbour and I'm gay and don't know how to tell me dog.
This week Trisha out did herself. A guy wrote in. He's been married to the love of his life for 16 years, no kids, and she's been diagnosed with cancer. This will be their last Christmas and he can't bear to live without her.
Trisha writes. "Losing someone you love is rather like being at a party when you know the person you came with is going to leave but you don't know when".
TBH I can see where she's coming from...She's saying enjoy every minute. But this woman has obviously not lost someone dear to her. A party?
You can't equate the heart bursting feeling of pressure, doom and inevitable loss to a party. A party is frivolous and throwaway.
I hate this woman. How did this mouthy piece ever make it to our screens?

Dear Trin,

Hating a banal, clueless TV presenter is rather like being at a party with a silly tart who thinks she knows about everyone's problems because her dog died once and she lost an earring down the back of the settee.

Have yourself a glass of fruit punch and push her face in the trifle. Everything will seem much better.
