Today was a good day. A very good day. However I got up late and having to go to work was in a flap this morning. I washed my hair as normal but couldn't find the damn hairbrush. In a hurry I found this kiddies pocahontas brush and tried to do something with it. Then I realised I'd forgotten to put mousse in it. Shit, I thought, I'm going to look crap.
Well isn't it just typical. I got into work and three different people said my hair looked lovely and what had I done to it?? Crazy!
Work was very quiet. Luxuriously quiet. The new doctors started today, so being quiet was a huge relief. They were shown round the unit at about 2pm and a saw the consultant draw a big breath as he brought them into see me and my little unit.
'Hello I'm Trin and I'm lovely' I announced. They all smiled (its a good ice breaker that line) the Consultant said 'Right yes she's umm very lovely' I felt he wanted to add the word NOT to the end of the sentence.
I gave them the once over. I think I may be able to knock them into shape.
The docs who just left are having a night out and yay I can go! but WTF? It's a bloody curry house. I hate curry I hate the smell, taste and look of it. I'll just have to drink and have a few poppadums.
Anyways, I got home and took Bailey to the vets to have her sutures out. Poor little love. They were in so tight she yelped when they removed them.
Then we picked up Abby from Drama. Abby took ages coming out so I let her out of the cat box and she sat on the dashboard looking out the window. She's never seen buses before or flashing lights or so many kids or men in yellow jackets. It was sooo exciting. People kept stopping to look at the crazy woman with a kitten in her windscreen.
I had a phone call from Shelter to ask if they could use Abby's picture and story to promote shelter all over the country. So you may see my hellteen on billboards all over the UK. How delightful!
